What is IntSCA ™
IntSCA™ stands for “International Skills Competence Award”. This is predominately on-line self assessment of an individual’s skills in the land based sector. An Individual is able to register with Lantra and IntSCA™ this will enable not only for an individual to record the skills they believe they can complete but also for these skills to be endorsed and verified. It is then possible to apply for a certificate of endorsement. This will include a paper certificate stating all the skills which have been endorsed and also a photo card in the relevant colour of the lever achieved stating the area it was achieved in.
Why has IntSCA™ come about?
IntSCA™ was formed because there is a need in the land based sector for a recognition or peoples skills. The skills which they have either learnt in college of through their own experience we feel that it is time that this knowledge was able to have recognition. As people who work in the land based sector rarely have tome to do a part time course, and certainly not a full time course, through IntSCA™ individuals are able to work as usual, tick a box when they feel they are able to do a skill and then an employer endorse this skill, with a member from the IntSCA™ team visit to oversee the individual to check on the program and that all the skills are correct for each applicant.
Who can Endorse / QA my skills?
It is possible for an employer to endorse provided s/he has the relevant knowledge and training to sign areas off. Only assessors and certified verifiers are able to QA.
Where is my skills passport valid?
IntSCA™ work with various organizations around the world to bring balance to the land based sector the passport is valid in these countries and many more. The passport will state which country you gained it in and the area it was gained in. We aim for the passport to be valid worldwide as it is a confirmation of the skills you are able to carry out.

This selection of partners grows all the time as more countries become involved so as there are plenty of options for every applicant.
